In the late 19th and early 20th century, a select group of families from Castellón and Valencia built what is known as the “Valencian Biarritz”, a series of very varied villas of great architectural interest, in this virgin bay.
Today the famous Villa Route is divided into two itineraries which cover the different predominant artistic trends at the time of their building and the character of the original residents.
Therefore, the “Hell” route owes its name to the scandalous parties held in the villas of this area, whereas the “Celestial Court” route is known for its tranquillity. Both areas are separated by the Comín gardens, popularly known as “Limbo”.
51 villas are catalogued, and 19 are signposted. Four constructions are also protected in their entirety.
