FIB (Festival Internacional de Benicàssim) is the most seductive proposal of indie music and alternative culture of the modern scene. But FIB is not only about the music; there is also theatre, art, fashion, summer courses, dancing, short films, round tables, exhibitions, and much more.
The festival began in 1995 under the guard of the former Spiral magazine, Elefant Records and la Sala Maravillas. It has been host to the very best of the present music scene.
Its visitors have included Björk, Sonic Youth, The Stone Roses, Garbage, Suede, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Charlatans, Tindersticks, Chemical Brothers,
Oasis, The Cure, Kraftwork, Morrissey, Keane, and so on.
Critics unanimously praise the festival as an essential stop on the European festival circuit.
The festival is a platform and loudspeaker for all the trends which, while tremedously creative and artistic, fail to find their niche in those sections of the media which subjugate these aims in favour of purely economic objectives. www.fiberfib.com
